Tarporley Fire Brigade founded in 1860, was one of the first volunteer fire brigades in England. The fire Service in Tarporley was stationed within No. 54, High Street from 1957 - 1993 Before 1957 the brigade was housed in a building in Park Road behind the old Police Station.
