THE OLD FIRESTATION CHOCOLATE SHOP AND NEW FOR 2008 COFFEE SHOP

Tarporley Fire Brigade Founded in 1860, was one of the first volunteer fire brigades in England. The Fire Service in Tarporley was stationed within No. 54, High Street from 1957 - 1993. Before 1957 the brigade was housed in a building in Park Road behind the old Police Station. The original Fire Station is now a fascinating Fire Service museum. In 1992 the fire service moved to a purpose built fire station in Birch Heath Road.

In 1994 we purchased No. 54 from Cheshire County Council and opened the Chocolate Shop. In 2006 we purchased the rest of 'Jubilee Buildings' when we acquired No. 52 which is double the size of No. 54. The Chocolate Shop is now in No. 52 and No. 54 has been opened as a coffee shop. Tarporley looks like a real village should and nestles in the heart of Cheshire. A considerable length of the Tarporley High Street is designated as a conservation area. It developed its present style during the 18th and 19th Centuries.
